Inclusive Spaces for Children with SEND

At Heathlands, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all our students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We have carefully designed our regulation spaces and classrooms to meet the diverse needs of our students while adhering to statutory guidance, including the Children and Families Act 2014, the Equality Act 2010, and the SEND Code of Practice (2015). These spaces are managed by trained staff who prioritise the wellbeing, dignity, and safety of all children. Clear protocols and safeguarding measures are in place to ensure these environments foster emotional regulation, learning, and inclusion. We regularly monitor and review the use of these spaces to ensure they remain effective, and we work closely with families to develop and adapt individualised plans that support every child’s progress. Your child’s safety, dignity, wellbeing, and education are always our priority.
