Student and Family Support (SAFS)

We recognise that children and families sometimes go through difficult times and we are keen to ensure we can provide support to children and their families when they need it.

Our Student and Family Support (SAFS) procedures ensure that we identify where children and families need support and that we put that support in place as quickly as we can. The SAFS system ensures we take a graduated response to emerging needs, but it also enables us to act quickly and get children and families access to key services when they need it. Our Student and Family Support covers the following areas:

  • Family Support
  • Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
  • Physical Health
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Behaviour
  • Attendance

We have a SAFS Team in school who are dedicated and trained in providing support to children and families through our SAFS systems. We also have services that we buy into school to support our SAFS team. And finally we work with external services to reach out beyond the school when children or families need that support.

Please take a look at our SAFS Policy below or contact our school office if you require any further information.
